Sound Settings

Choose how sound plays across ABLE Assist.Sound on — Allow audio and video sound, with controls on each page to adjust playback.Mute all sound — Mute both audio recordings and videos.

Reference Display

Choose how songs, scriptures, footnotes and references appear across all ABLE Assist pages.Always open — Keep all reference content expanded. Recommended for screen reader users.Always closed — Keep all reference content closed until individually opened.Choose on each page — Follow each page’s normal settings.

Video transcripts are not affected by this choice. They remain closed until opened.

Text Tracking

Text tracking highlights the text as the audio plays.Always off — Recommended for screen reader users. Prevents text tracking from triggering screen reader speech while the audio plays.Always on — Recommended for people with low vision.Choose on each page — Show a control at the top of each page to turn text tracking on or off.

Letter Case

Choose how letters appear.Standard text — Keep the page’s original mix of uppercase and lowercase letters.ALL UPPERCASE — Display all text in uppercase letters.

Text Weight

Choose how thick the text appears.Standard text weight — Keep the page’s original text weight.Bold text — Make text thicker and increase the spacing between letters, which may help some people read it more easily.

Preset Color Theme

Choose one color theme.Light mode — Dark text on a light background.Dark mode — Light text on a dark background.Low vision 1 — White text on black, with yellow headings.Low vision 2 — White text on navy, with white headings.Low vision 3 — White text on black, with cyan headings.Low vision 4 — White text on blue, with red headings.Low vision 5 — Black text on yellow, with black headings.Dyslexia 1 — Dark text on a cream background.Dyslexia 2 — Dark text on a pale gray background.Photophobia — A very dark background with softer light text.Custom colors — Keep your current colors. Use the color pickers below to adjust them.
